Recently, Health Authorities in the UAE have released a list of all the govt. hospitals and private clinics that are providing the COVID-19 vaccine in the UAE.

The voluntary vaccination program originally took root in Abu Dhabi, but now has pervaded through Dubai and other Emirates. Residents from Emirates like Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi can now book a free vaccination from the comfort of the home.

The vaccination being disseminated in the UAE is the Sinopharm vaccine, consisting of two jabs with a 21-day gap. According to WHO, Sinopharm exhibits an 86% efficacy. And so, it was approved to be administered to the public after phase 3 trials with over 31,000 participants.

On March 2nd, residents of Dubai over the age of 16 are now allowed to get the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Six DHA health facilities will oversee the vaccine dissemination. These COVID-19 vaccination centres are Nad Al Hamr Primary Health Care Centre, Al Mizhar Primary Health Care Centre, Hatta Hospital, Barsha Primary Health Care Centre, Uptown Mirdif Medical Fitness Centre, and Zabeel Primary Health Care Centre.

Those who previously contracted COVID-19 now need not wait for three long months to get the vaccine. Based on whether the infection was mild or asymptomatic, patients can get the jab upon completion of their isolation.

On April 2nd, Pfizer (spelt fai-zuh) vaccine was distributed in Abu Dhabi and other emirates by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). At that time, the inoculum was available to everyone but those who had taken part in Phase III of the clinical trials.

Where to Get Sinopharm Vaccine in Dubai

Currently, AstraZeneca is not available in Dubai. However, you can procure the Sinopharm vaccine, developed by the Chinese, at One Central at World Trade Centre, Al Qusais Health Centre, Alittihad Health Centre, Dubai Parks & Resort, and Hor Al Anz Health Centre.

Sinopharm vaccine is fairly easy to get in Abu Dhabi as it’s being distributed at all clinics run by SEHA and VPS Healthcare. SEHA is Abu Dhabi’s public health operator. Please note that you will have to book an appointment before visiting the following healthcare centres.
